  23. It has nothing ecological: a hilltop has been razed to build the property, tons of stones, cements, concrete and wood have been transported here to build houses, bungalows and the luxurious swimming pool. Not to mention the paved road leading there. And where does the water is pumped from ?

  29. It's US$400 per nite for a Suite Bungalow, even the cheaper premium suite cost US$250… Definitely not for a budget-minded traveler. Beautiful places tho.

  42. I'm going to have to offer a dissenting opinion here. The Asheville NC Best Western East's Tunnel RD location has the best pool in the world. That's not even taking into account its close proximity to a Chick-fil-a. 👓🍟🍺

  43. OMG – What a place! When I was there last (50 years ago), we stayed way south of there on the other side of the DMZ and people seemed at lot angrier then.. Everything is so different now. As good as it all looks I don't think my memories would allow me to relax. The rain is so nostalgic of a time long ago in a way different time. Bugs, humidity, smells, rice paddies and jungle. At least the anger and fear appear to be somewhere else. I'm so glad you two are seeing what I (and lots of old friends) never even imagined would be in that long lost god forsaken part of the world. I will say one thing for sure," that part of the world sure cleaned up nice…." Thank you for the beautiful pictures. Maybe……….

  45. We stayed at a couple of similarly styled places in Costa Rica – with our own decks & gorgeous views, but nothing quite as amazing as this place! I would never want to leave!
